BeaUtiFul WEsTeRn NY

These are the beautiful mini mums at the Welcome Center
at the Joseph Smith Sr. farm -- touched with overnight frost!

Looking across the Smith farm to beautiful autumn trees.

In Palmyra, NY some of the last of the beautiful yellow leaves in the yard of this lovely old house.

Welcome to the Peter Whitmer Farm, Fayette, NY.

A first view of the Whitmer farm: sign & flowers, flag, colorful trees, and the beautiful Chapel. This Chapel (one of a kind) was built in 1980 for the 150th Anniversary of the organization of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

At the Whitmer Farm, the lovely flowers and trees beginning to change colors and make for a BEAUTIFUL autumn.

Finally, the same trees at the Whitmer Farm on Oct 22nd. By the next week the leaves were all gone.

Beautiful pictures. It is so nice to see the changing of seasons since we don't get that very much here. We are getting excited about Thanksgiving. I don't know whether I can make it through the next 3 weeks. Justin will be asking every day if we are going to Utah yet. I guess we will just have to survive

What beautiful colors!! Our fall came on so fast and the freeze got here so quickly that we really didn't have many colors or very pretty changes in the leaves...they were green one day, brown the next...and then gone...wish we could have had such a pretty fall as you. Soak it up...you'll be home to the dreary brown soon!

I have to agree that the fall pictures are beautiful. Wow I can't believe that you will be home in three weeks. You are such a great example to us may the Lord bless you as you wind up your last days of your mission.

Beautiful leaves. The wind blew so much here that we never got beautiful leaves. Thanks for the pics.

How beautiful in the autumn in New York. What a wonderful experience you have had in sharing the Gospel at the pinacle of the beginnings of the Church. Thanks for your example. Drive home safely and we'll see you at Christmas.
